What are you giving?

"And he sat down opposite the treasury and watched the people putting money into the offering box. Many rich people put in large sums. And a poor widow came and put in two small copper coins, which make a penny. And he called his disciples to him and said to them, "Truly, I say to you, the poor widow has put in more than all those who are contributing to the offering box. For they all contribute out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty has put in everything she has, all she had to live on." Mark 12:41-44

This story we read is in reference to money and the giving of money. But I could not help to be drawn to the point being the woman gave all she had while others were giving their surplus, not a sacrifice of giving.

We are asked to give all we have to God. This does not just mean what is in our comfort zone, the time we have left over in our day; this means everything and anything.

We do not need to worry about what this involves because God has a purpose for each request he makes of you.

Learn to listen to God's voice, hear what he is asking and give him all you have, rest in God as you give and sacrifice.

"Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content." Philippians 4:11
